Where do you apply for?

You can go to the Embassy of Vietnam in your country. In many cases, you can apply for it through a travel company in the country. For the student visa, you can contact the local university. They will help you complete the application procedures.

- Passport valid for at least 6 months

- Application for a visa

- 2 to 3 photos with the size as 4x6cm

- Fees: The application directly to the Embassy, the cost to complete for this work in a range from 50 - 200 U.S dollars. In case you apply for a visa for the second time on, the cost will be lower. This fee depends on each Embassy, and the visa is granted.

The application form can be obtained at the Embassy. You submit this form with a number of other papers such as passports, photos and the visa fee. If you submit directly to the Embassy, your information will be transferred to Hanoi immediately to the application for approval is completed; it would be in the range of 4 to 10 days for spending (Depending on the place which you apply). In case you apply for a visa at the immigration office in Hanoi, the completion time is 1 day.

Some typical types:

1. Tourist visa

This type is only available for guests at a time in a month; you can renew after you enter Vietnam.

2. Business visa

This is very convenient; and you can be in Vietnam from 3 to 6 months. It is made by the choice for the option to enter one or more times. If you are investing in this country, your visa can be extended many times.



3. Student visa
You can go to Vietnam as a tourist and if you wish to participate in one of the university courses. In this case, you will have to pay school fees and to class at least 10 hours each week.
